About Dr. Schott

Whitney Schott, PhD, MA is an Assistant Research Professor at the Rutgers Center for State Health Policy. Dr. Schott is experienced in research on health services for vulnerable populations and focuses much of her work on services for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, child growth, nutrition, and development, and health quality measurement. Ongoing project work includes analysis of psychotropic medication use among children with autism and other mental health conditions, prevalence of autism by age and other subgroups, aging and chronic conditions among autistic adults, and the association of housing support with chronic health condition management. Prior to joining the Center, Dr. Schott served as Health Statistician at the Agency for Healthcare Quality Research with the Quality Indicators program, where she oversaw the development of maternal mental health and diagnostic safety measures. She holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Economics from University of Maryland, College Park.
