2012 | Premium Rate Review Forum

Hosted by Rutgers Center for State Health Policy with support provided by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, through a planning grant from the US Department of Health & Human Services. In spring 2012, the Center held a Premium Rate Review Forum on behalf of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. The forum included a description of New Jersey’s rate review process, an overview of the federal requirements for rate review, and a presentation of rate information and resources available to the public. The presentation engaged 57 stakeholders with diverse perspectives including consumers, employers, providers, insurers and brokers.
